Kids' schedules on tap

Daily routine per child — wear, pack, school hours, activities.

Mornings are chaos when you can't remember if it's civvies day or full kit. HeyKit holds the answer for every weekday, every child — and pushes a summary to your phone before 7am.

What goes in

Per child, per weekday: school uniform or civvies, what's in the lunchbox, school hours, after-school activities with times, and who's doing pickup.

  • Per-child colour coding — your eye finds the right row instantly
  • Edit a whole week from one screen
  • Optional pack list per activity ('shin guards, water bottle')
  • Arrangements field for 'Granny collects today' / 'late stay-on'

Morning briefing pushes it to your phone

At 06:45 each weekday, the Telegram bot sends a one-message summary: today's wear, pack, activities, weather, and your todos. By the time the kettle's boiled you know the day.

  • Weather pulled from Open-Meteo (Cape Town)
  • Time configurable per family (06:45 default)
  • Skipped on weekends and school holidays you flag

Calendar (iCal) feed

Subscribe in Apple Calendar, Google Calendar, or any calendar app. Activities + bills + renewals appear alongside your normal calendar. Token-gated link, refreshes every few minutes.

Afternoon pickup reminders

Optional — opt in via Profile. The bot pings you 15 min before an activity ends so you're not late to soccer pickup.

In practice

What you can do with this

Grandparents on duty

Granny's watching the kids today? Share the iCal link or screenshot the morning briefing. She has everything she needs.

Travelling and the other parent's on point

Different parent driving the school run while you're away. They open the app and see exactly what each kid needs.

Soccer practice scheduling

Three activities a week per kid. The morning brief always reminds you it's the early pickup day for Tuesday's swimming.

Common questions

How many children can I add?

No limit. Each gets their own row with a colour you pick.

Can I share the schedule with grandparents or a nanny?

Yes — the iCal feed link is shareable and read-only. They subscribe in their calendar app and see your schedule alongside their own.

What about school holidays?

The schedule is per-weekday so weekends already skip. For longer breaks, just don't fill in those weekdays — the morning briefing skips empty days.

Can I sync to my work calendar?

Yes, the iCal URL works with Apple Calendar, Google Calendar, Outlook, Fantastical, and anything else that supports calendar subscriptions.
